First off, forget finding something *exactly* the same. We’re talking about something custom-made for a game, right? Think about it: small Italian artisanal companies using titanium and sapphire? Sounds fancy, but that’s probably not the route you wanna go for a replica, unless you’re prepared to remortgage your house.
Then there’s the “Find a watch that looks similar and have a face custom made” approach. That’s actually not a terrible idea. You find something with a similar vibe – maybe a chunky, industrial looking watch – and then get someone to whip up a custom face that mimics the Artyom watch. That could be expensive too, tho, depending on who you go to. You don’t want some cheapo sticker job, you want it to look like it *belongs* there, ya know?
Now, the Nixie tube version…that’s where things get interesting. Someone actually *recreated* it? That’s freakin’ awesome! And, apparently, someone even bought one! Okay, okay, I’m jealous. The problem, of course, is finding these elusive creators. It’s not like they’re mass-producing them down at Walmart.
The “NIWA Nixie watch V2.0” thing… that’s probably your best bet if you’re serious. Dark Nebula case, steampunk vibes, sapphire glass… sounds pretty darn close to the Metro aesthetic, right? And hey, 536 bucks? That’s… actually not as bad as I expected. Still pricey, but considering what you’re getting, it might be worth the plunge. Especially if you’re a huge Metro fan. But yeah, do your research, read reviews, and make sure it’s legit. You don’t want to get scammed.
And then you have the whole “Metro Exodus Artyom Custom Edition” thing. That was a straight-up limited edition, hand-made by 4A Games and some dude named Dmitry. So, yeah, finding one of those is probably like winning the lottery… twice.
